No Big Deal Math Program
Dyscalculia is a lifelong learning disability that a person is born with. It does not come from low intelligence, lack of effort, or bad teaching. It does impact understanding of time, money, place value, and number sense. Dyscalculia makes it hard to work with, recognize, and remember numbers, basic math facts, and procedures.
Interventions alone don't help students with dyscalculia the way they help people with weak math foundations or other issues. Dyscalculia makes people lose math information over time, and have a weaker "mental number line". This can cause them to count from 1 every time, or lack mental math strategies.
The right support tools, such as 1-to-100 charts, number lines, and calculators, help students learn math topics while supporting dyscalculia symptoms.

The No Big Deal math program, an original product of the DTRI, offers online math classes for students with dyscalculia. These classes get all students to grade level math, fast!
